Today, we did the warm up and drills and since I was on ibuprofen it didn't hurt too bad, although there was a slight pang of ouch. We did 15 hills, I did every other one then went running with Patrick, Caden, Gavin, and Sarah. We ran up by Bonneville to heckle Ethan and Andy at lacrosse practice, then ran back. I felt alright, but we were going pretty slow.

Today I did the 2 laps warm up and stretching with drills. I did a couple laps warm up, but the ibuprofen wasn't kicking in. We were to do 12 400s. I was not hitting my times, I was always about ten seconds slower. I feel like I pushed though. I stopped after 6 because my foot couldn't take it and my IT bands were killing me, so I stopped to ice.

Today at Highland I was to do the 800 portion of the Medley with Avvy, Gabrielle, and Dominique. I did a little bit of warm up and strides and practiced handoffs with the other girls before racing. We were in 2nd place by the time Dom gave me the baton, but it was only a few meters and I caught the girl in seconds. I don't know my actual time, I just put 3 minutes but it was probably a little faster, it felt fast... Later, I did some more strides and such for the 4x400 with Dominique, Jasmine, and Sarah. Dom was our starter, Jazz went next, then me, then Sarah. Jazz barely pulled us up into first and I held it for my lap, but not by much. Still, 2nd is pretty amazing. Ok so a tri-meet so not really. I didn't have time to cool down because Becca was picking me up to go to the spring concert... Yay Ensemble.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JASMINE!

Today we did 2 laps and few drills before working out. We did 1 mile warm up, 1 mile speed changes, and 1 mile cool down. Our warm up felt really fast, and as we were about to start speed changes I saw it was at a 6:20 pace. No thanks. Sarah and I went at a better pace for us where we're pushing but not killing ourselves. Gotta save it for Davis tomorrow.

Race: Davis Invitational (2 Miles) 00:11:50

I had to use my old trainers today because my current ones are locked up in my locker. Stupid school administration. Anyway, today was Davis Invite. I did my warm up with Sarah before doing our strides and drills. I was in the 2nd heat of the open 1600, and I did awful. I started fast, then that short Davis girl elbowed me really hard in the stomach, which made me really mad. I started out about a 75, and wondered how long I could keep up the pace. Not very. I didn't have any kick left. I did some more cool down and then went to my cousins house to take a nice long nap before my 3200 and 4x800 later. For my 3200 I did the same warm up with Natalie and Tomy, then strides. I got an okay start, and another Davis girl elbowed me hard, so I fought back this time and elbowed the bleep out of her. My first mile was a 5:55, and I knew that I REALLY needed to hit a negative split to qualify for state. In my last 150 meters, I heard someone say "11:30!" and I knew that I didn't have the time. As soon as I finished we did a 4x800. Sarah was our starter, then Noami, then me, and finally Nat. We did alright, it was more of a fun thing I guess, but it hurt. Good to know that Davis is going to get a new track, because the current one SUCKS.
